SIMP R-Styles Implementation Phase

the implementation phase was the most fun part for me. it was almost like having this "empty canvas" for me to play around with more ideas. i had the time and the creative freedom to try out things. i spent hours doing certain elements, sometimes over and over again, just to make sure the codes were the most efficient possible. and the end product is something i'm pleased with, and proud of, in terms of the coding and structure (both jQuery and smarty). it personally is one of my best work so far.

the final phase was the information architecture aka the content. designing it was tough. and putting them in to the system was one very tedious job. its boring, but someone had to do it.

so yes, finally, the new Platform Interactive is live, and it really is long overdue. it may not exactly be how i would like it to be, in terms of looks and "web2.0-ness", but it still is my baby, and i am proud of it. especially considering the time it took from inception (my crude prototype) to completion.

main functions feature a customised Events Module with Payment. the Events Modules has also been updated to cater for a direct link to Google Maps, with the venue's address attached to the link. this could a standard feature for the Events Module from now onwards since it loads a page much faster than having an embedded map.

but of course, it will still be dependant on an individual client's needs and requirements.
